On Saturday September 9, I was privileged to be an exhibitor at the 2017 ACC Higgins Australian Funeral Expo at The Dome in Sydney Olympic Park. It was an awesome day meeting up with old friends, existing clients and connecting with new ones.
My husband Geoff and I drove the 750km south to Sydney with the car packed full of Cami Bears and all the props for the exhibit. I had been planning the design of the exhibit for months and was really excited to start setting it up.
So the day before, myself, Geoff and our good friend Rod spend 6 hours setting up the most amazing Teddy Bears Picnic. I’m a very visual person, so watching the exhibit come to life was really wonderful (and a little bit emotional) for me. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
On the day, the Dome looked amazing with about 75 exhibitors all set up and ready to start networking. Some of the exhibits were really amazing, stocked with beautiful timber coffins, shiny urns, beautiful stationery, candles and even a Harley Davidson with a coffin as a sidecar! We also had a competition to win a personalized Cami Bear and a lovely candle and warmer from Divine Ambience, which were won by 2 very deserving participants.
There was a lovely dinner after the expo, where we all gathered to wind down and mingle. A chair never looked so inviting after being on our feet all day. They gave out some awards for the day and Cami Bear won the BEST EXHIBIT AWARD!! I was honored and very excited to win and was presented with a sign for the office and huge hamper box.
